The Paul Mthimunye Bursary Fund is a self help scheme whose purpose is to assist needy and deserving high school learners and tertiary students in the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, Mpumalanga Province. We fund students who are following Maths, Science, Accounting, Engineering, Law and other fields of study in keeping with the principle of supply and demand in the labour market.

Our History

The Paul Mthimunye Bursary Fund was established with the intention of supporting learners with exceptional academic ability. In the last 10 years, the Paul Mthimunye Bursary Fund has sponsored over 200 high school learners and over 90 tertiary students.

Our Founder

The idea of having The Paul Mthimunye Bursary Fund came from a former resident of Middelburg, Mr Sipho Mthombeni who started and completed his school career in Middelburg prior to pursuing his university studies. He generously donated fifty thousand rand to start the fund. This idea was warmly embraced by the community.
